What does it mean to you to be untethered?
In truth, pain is the price of freedom. And the moment you are willing to pay that price, you will no longer be afraid. The moment you are not afraid of the pain, you’ll be able to face all of life’s situations without fear.’
-Michael Singer
To me, the meaning of untethered is to be free from the internal and external areas that prevent you from flying. By flying I mean succeeding in life and accomplishing your wildest dreams.
This involves breaking free from the constraints of your own self-limiting beliefs and programs. These may be known or unknown. Conscious or unconscious. You will feel it when you are tethered. Tired, bored, apathetic, emotional, and unhealthy can all be clues that you are not free.
One internal example is resistance. You can’t be free when you are resisting. Free from resistance leads to flow.
Sometimes you can do it yourself. Sometimes it takes time. Sometimes it helps to have someone there to show compassion, hear and understand what you are going through. Sometimes you need a course correction, an adjustment or some tools and solutions to help you with your blindspots.
